I think kids are instinctively accepting of the Boots and flower life’s a dance you learn as you go shirt, and we just have to nurture that. My son is four, and when he sees people who look different from him/us, he does ask my husband and my questions, but once we explain it, he’s totally cool with it. The other day, we were at the shops and saw a couple who both had dwarfism. My son was looking at them and then he looked at me and whispered, Mommy, are those people little grownups? They’re little like me, but I think they’re grownups like you.
