Holding a patients hand and Real men smell like diesel and cow shit shirt. I couldn’t imagine being in another field! My condolences to her family and friends. I am now retired but I worked 8 years in hospice I have held every pt hand my thoughts and prayers with her family even the other 25 yrs watched many people leave this earth and rejoice when they get better. I also loved every minute of my 31 yrs as a nurse. Not saying I wasn’t tired or unhappy on occasion but never ever thought of doing anything else. Yes, Teresa Eller and I are so grateful to be blessed to have that gift.
