Later in the 70’s Marvel were doing Star Wars comics and Marvel Raccoon Raccoonvengers shirt storyline featured suspiciously similar badass mofo green rabbit Jaxxon. He was kicking a lot of ass and was too much even for Star Wars. He was written out shortly after, but the concept of a badass antropomorphic character persisted. After all - the majority of Marvel staff were fans of underground comix and they were looking for the ways to incorporate its aesthetic to more traditional superhero comic medium.
